A Message From The Author

I put my faith in Christ, and Christ alone in 1990. Since then there have been many periods where the inward reality of salvation was not outwardly displayed. In 1991 the Lord answered my prayer and I was joined to a beautiful and Godly woman (such as Proverbs 31:10-31). As time went on we were blessed with three healthy sons. My work took me away for months at a time and in our first 10 years we had moved six times. Using an analogy, I was like a house. The day I was saved, Christ came into my house, cleaned it and filled it with His light. He also built an everlasting house for me in heaven. Over the course of time, rooms would get dirty and not wanting to have Christ clean the room and not wanting my wife to see the dirt, the room was closed off. As time passed Christ was eager to clean the house but my pride would not allow it and more rooms would be closed and locked. My beautiful bride was being confined to smaller areas of the house. God in His sovereignty and wisdom stood by waiting until I was alone in a dark house finally realizing the consequences of my pride and arrogance. Then there was a knock at the door. It was the Lord Jesus Christ, happy to finally see me with a broken and contrite heart. Not only did He clean every part of the house again, but he brought my wife along and comforted her as she watched the dirt being removed. He then reminded me of the house He built for me in heaven in 1990 that never gets dirty. It’s still waiting to be occupied.

I hope this study puts your life in perspective as it has mine. James says, “you are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” (James 4:14) I encourage you to make every day an opportunity to store up eternal riches. There is no comfort in governments, leaders, or mankind. Empires and their citizens always end as fallen remains. However, the Creator of the universe stepped out of eternity and into time. Both deity and man in one, saving the very creatures that persecuted Him. A simple faith in the fact that Jesus Christ is God and He was crucified, died, buried, resurrected and glorified to pay the penalty for your sins, brings forth eternal life with Him. You are already condemned, not only as coming from the fallen seed of Adam, but by your sins that come forth out of your very nature. For without this simple act of faith/belief/trust, your eternal residence will be apart from God in the lake of fire. Please take a moment to clear your heart of any hope in past and/or present religious acts or ceremonies and just rely fully on the person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you were able to do this, you HAVE BEEN legally justified and Christ’s righteousness has been applied to your account. You also WILL BE glorified exchanging this earthly body or shell for one that never decays. You are currently in the process of BEING sanctified. This is where the Christian learns how to defeat the power of sin. It is a lifelong process wherein God is progressively molding us into the image of Christ. Some clay is much harder than others but God, in His eternal wisdom, is the craftsman. Not the parents, nor the spouse, but it is God who is sovereign.
